Tears of the Dragon
I throw myself into the sea
Release the wave
Let it wash over me
To face the fear
I once believed
The tears for the dragon
For you and for me

-Tears of the Dragon, Balls to Picasso, Bruce Dickinson

Huh! I don't want to make this blog as a place to write about my girlfriend and my mind-sensual problems but those are really important in my mind these days. Anyway I write about them until I don't think about them anymore.
I haven't heard anything from my girlfriend for some days until now which someone said she had been in her cottage in the country today. She didn't told me anything about it and being honest, this make me a little sad (I haven't called her because I have wanted to know if she would have cared about it or not, so I haven't asked her about her programs). You know, all I need is to make sure I will not be sensitive to whatever other people do! I should be as calm as possible - don't thing about others' acts as much as possible.

I dreamed that she had been fallen in love with a guy and said me that she wouldn't love me anymore. It was a dream, but I believe in dreams not as a forecaster but as a method to reveal what is going on in my unconscious ego.

loneliness in crowd: I'm actually here, I feel lonely, much more lonelier than often, although I'm not actually being isolated. I meet people, I speak with them, I kiss them, and even I dream them, but all in all, I feel that I've become isolated from them. It's not really bad in its own, the biggest problem is that I'm not sure what should I do: continue this way or try to forget my loneliness and interact with people more.

I'm going to converge to this idea: men and women are different, mostly in their mental worlds!

I will propose my optimal control project today! It is about using Fuzzy controllers as a basis for nonlinear (hopefully) optimal control. I'm not sure whether it would be really optimal!

but if you want to know why it is better to shake your hand that way, you must take some course in nonlinear analysis, fluid mechanics, nonlinear control, chaos and bifurcation and something alike! So, don't ask me why (I don't know exactly too!), but do that. Oh ... before going, I should mention that if you want to wash your clothes with hand, move your hands chaotically - it works the same!

Some brain cells, a mobile robot and some electrodes! That's all for a basic mind-machine interconnection!
These people use neural activity of rat brain cells to drive a mobile robot and parallel with that, using sensor informations of the robot to stimulate the neural network.

Let me explain it from state-space control approach:
We're rather new to each other. I don't know what exactly each action of you mean because I don't have a good model of you. So by observing your actions, I cannot estimate your inner state correctly, thus misjudgement occurs! Somehow, this is not critical but it can make me unstable as this time.

Feedback is a necessary part in each person's everyday life!
It is not only for F-18 but for controlling the relation between me and my beloved. If I don't know what you feel at that specific moment, I cannot act optimally and as you've seen these days, it can be quite dangerous.

I know more about the problem now. There was some cause - I'm not sure what it was exactly but I was persuaded that there was something anyway. You know, Not only God but girl friends does not play dice with your universe. Both of them act as cause-effect is a real phenomenon in the universe (I don't believe its strong formulation).

But what will happen if you think alike Einstein: God does not play dice with the universe. If so, there would be nothing random here, everything is deterministic, therefore how can I believe it was just some random feeling?

My gf wasn't in mood today. I don't know why, and if it is my fault or not? I don't want to introspect too much because most of times it is too pessimistic and make everything worse! Anyway, I hope it would be nothing except some random feeling.

I'm doing my digital control's homeworks. It's the design part which I haven't much experience in it. But anyway it is fun!
Digital control (as a whole) is not too interesting for me because there is no brilliant mathematical or conceptual problem in it, but is somehow interesting because it is a good tool whenever you want to implement some control mechanism (it is more practical than those analog stuffs).

Yesterday I went to international book fair with my lovely Parisa. It is the second time I have gone there this year – such as most previous years. The first time was on Tuesday that I could visit national visitors part. This time I’ve decided to visit the international publishers too, though I wasn’t expect to find any good book suitable for me. Anyway I couldn’t buy anything as when we wanted to go to that salon, they closed the door! Thus I bought nothing last day and everything I have bought are from my first visit. Nevertheless yesterday was joyful due to being with Parisa. I cannot express my feelings about her, specially in this language. Before going on, it would be worthy to write up what I have bought:

1. Feminism by Jane Freedman which is from Open university press, 2001. As I wrote before I consider men and women equal in law and as I think they are not the same creatures but believe that both of them are worthy. In spite of that, I have behaved these two creatures almost the same, specially when it is of mental tasks (I cannot deny that I behave more pleasant with girls anyway). But the time have tried to change my mind. I’ve experienced something which showed that I wouldn’t behave that much the same. Anyway, I called myself Feminist for a while and by reading this book I want to have a better knowledge of what exactly is going on in this post-modernistic movement.
2. The logic of Scientifically Discovery by Karl Popper. The book I heard from in The history of 20th century philosophy last year.
3. An Introduction to Modern Logic by Zia Movahhed. Logic is not a new area to me, but reading a book specially written for analytical philosophy is not bad.
4. Humanistic Usage of Humans – Cybernetics and Society by Norbert Wiener. It is an old text for cybernetics and may not show the correct trends of cybernetics and its usage but it is written by Wiener and I want to have a book from him!
5. Political Philosophers of Twentieth Century by Michael H. Lessnoff. I have been eager to know about philosophical aspects of politics for a long time (and I think this is the only subject worth spending time in politics – its philosophical backgrounds) and I know nothing about it. This might be a good book to read.
6. Theories of Value and Distribution since Adam Smith – Ideology and Economy by Maurice Dobb. A book I don’t know exactly what it is about but I think it may give me some ideas about market – the subject I may involve as a way of task allocation.
7. Idea of Phenomenology by Edmund Husserl.
8. Pragmatism by William James.
9. Difficulties of Love. This book is a collection of American short stories which were elected as winner in some contests in recent years. There are short stories from John Edgar Wideman, Allan Gurganus, Claire Davis, Peter Baida, Chitra Divakaruni, Isaac Bashevis Singer, Alice Monro and Katherine Shonk. It is the shame that I haven’t read a story from any of them yet! The main reason for this problem is this: there is no book from them in this country (If there is any good person who would give me a book from these writers (or anybody else who I do not know which is not a short list anyhow) as a gift, I would be very happy! May I have a wishlist here).
10. a short story collection from The Garden Party and Bliss and the other stories from Catherine Mansfield (not sure about spelling). I haven’t heard from her before!
11. On Materialistic Evolution of History by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. I have become curious to know what exactly (as exactly as he wanted!) this guy was talking about – just this!

These are the books I bought! The only thing I need here is a time to read them, what a worthy being, what a rare being!

Starting a new weblog might seem to be a fool job in this situation, with this many courses and projects. I was not sure to begin this or not but at last, I decided to do so. It is not surprising that one of most important reasons for doing that, is exercising my English language. I am not a native of England or USA (or other countries with this language as a first one) so I have limited ability in using English. My reading ability is rather good (but not strong, for instance I have no experience with Shakespeare and I think it is not easy for me - at least now!) but I do not write in English regularly and due that, I decided to start writing this weblog in order to be forced to write often! So it is natural to have some mistakes in my sentences or more importantly my writings does not seem to be fluent and well-written. But anyway I think it will improve exponentially if I continue doing the job. Not necessary to mention, any comment from you will be welcomed and make me happy!

For millions of years, mankind lived just like the animals. Then something happened which unleashed the power of our imagination. We learned to talk. And we learned to listen. Speech has allowed the communication of ideas, enabling human beings to work together. To build the impossible. Mankind's greatest achievements have come about by talking. And it's greatest failures by NOT talking. It doesn’t have to be like this! Our greatest hopes could become reality in the future. With the technology at our disposal, the possibilities are unbounded.

All we need to do is ...
make sure ...
we keep...
t a l k i n g
."

-- Stephen William Hawking

Yes! All we need to do is make sure we do keep talking! We should be able to express ourselves not just because it is good thing to do, but because talking is our highest-level emergent behavior of our existence: We talk since we have language, and we have language due to our complexity of the human mind that evolve into symbolic parts which is the essence of language. Hey, but what we do actually do? Huh! All we do is just making sure that we avoid talking and it is the problem of our life; we become sad because we judge a friend’s action improperly and think s/he wants to annoy us without asking from him/her what is going on actually, the politicians argue with each other and start horrible wars only because they do not listen to each other, people from different cultures (and also read it as different religions) ridicule (if not something more violent!) each other because they do not use talking-listening cycle in their interactions and etc.
But I want to talk and to listen! I want to have a wide insight into the world and know what exactly is going on here. All I want to do is make sure I do not go out from that talking-listening cycle. Mind Report is a direct way from my mind to yours!
